Wave pools, which have an important place in our summer entertainment and become one of the most prominent attractions of WaterParks are also a pleasure product for the users. This is because people can feel themselves at the seaside and on the beach, whereever they are without going to the sea. Wave pool systems are the activity areas where the beach view is located and where the sun beds can be lined up and people can sip their drinks while listening to the sounds of the waves. In short, wave pools provide a safe and pleasant environment, away from all the dangers of a sea or ocean, through businesses. Operators also prefer wave pool systems because of the high user turnover capacity and low initail investment and maintenance costs. Wave pool systems operate automatically thanks to the integration of the Touch Screen PLC system.
The logic of the wave pool system design can be explained as follows. The compressed air delivered by the air fans to the air chambers is opened and closed with the help of the PLC of the pneumatic (air pressure) pistons and transferred to the so-called pressure chambers, where the compressed air is pushed together by pushing the water in the pool. As water is pushed , the waves are created. It is also possible to have different waveforms of the wave pool, which can be arranged by the help of PLC system and touch screen, with the help of synchronous compressed air supplied to different air chambers. For example, a wave pool system of 12 m has 4 air chambers and a flat waveform of about 80 cm is formed when air is transferred to all air chmabers. By conveying the transferred air to the first, fourth, and then the second and third numbered air chamber, combative waves with a height up to 120 cm can be produced. In addition, the fact that the pool is in a deeper structure (the deepest part o the pool is 1.70 - 1.80 meters) allows the waves to reach the shore without losing their form.
There are wave pool systems working with the principle of water pressure instead of air pressure, which are used to produce larger waves, especially surfing waves in many different parts of the world. However, these water pressurized systems are the systems we rarely encounter in AquaPark because of the high investment and maintanance costs.
Wave pools are used not only in the entertainment industry, but also in scientific research such as life-saving training and observation of wave movements and research of tsunami waves.
For example, we, as Atlantis Pool, undertook the manufacturing of wave pool systems for the military and private search rescue training of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
